Stone Portraits and Stonescape
Denise makes contemporary art quilt portraits of very noncontemporary structures: megalithic Celtic stones and monoliths, and more recent (but still centuries old) monastic ruins. Denise’s “stones” portfolio now exceeds 50 quilts, and she continues to eagerly look forward to discovering and visiting new sacred sites, meeting new stones, and quilting their stories.
